OCTOBER BIRTHDAYS

The month of October is full of birthdays in my little corner of the world.

Tomorrow is my friend Jan's birthday. Jan lost her husband almost a year ago. It's been a hard 12 months for her but she is moving on with her life. Her favourtite colour is PINK ... the same as me, so here is a card that I have made her.

I love the colours in this card and I can't remember the brand of the paper. All card stock used is Stampin' Up! as is the ribbon. The stamp is from Perfect Punches, also Stampin' Up!

Then on Sunday it is my friend Lynn's Birthday and it is also MY birthday :) But I didn't make myself a card, I might buy myself a pressie though!

Don't you just love the daisy on this card. It is from the Don Juan Cricut cartridge which I have just purchased on EBAY. The daisy background was created using the mini Daisy Cluster 6x6 template from Crafter's Workshop. The greeting is from Hero Arts.

Check back sometime soon and you might see what I get for my birthday this year and also for my special annual Birthday Offer!

JOIN MY RIBBON CLUBS!

Do you love Stampin" Up! Ribbon .. would you like to have some in each colour but don't want to buy a full roll, then how about joining in a ribbon share! A ribbon share is a great way of owning a little of all the colours available.

I'm not going to offer all the ribbons at once as it would cost you over $200.00, I will offer one style of ribbon per month as this will be more affordable for ev eryone. By the way, there is no commitment to join every ribbon share, just choose which ranges appeal to you the most and join in those.

For the month of September, I am offering shares in the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. With every share you will receive a quarter of a roll. This month's share works out to 2.25 metres of each of the 13 colours available in the 1/8" Taffeta (that's 29.25 metres of ribbon) and will cost $40.75, which includes shipping costs to me. If you would like your shares posted, this will incur an extra postage cost to you of $3.00. Payment must be either in cash or by Direct Deposit. Please register your interest for this month by 20th September.

NEW PRODUCTS

Good Morning to Everyone

It's a bit damp here in south east Queensland this morning with good rain overnight, so it's going to be a wet Father's Day I think.

I've been having a play with some more new products and as promised here's another card using the new Woodgrain Background stamp.

I bet you thought you could only use it for male cards, well here's a pretty pink version!

I've stamped the image in Pink Pirouette and then embossed it in white for a soft feminine look. The flowers I've made from regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Pinnk Pirouette using the new Flor FusionSizzlit. After I punched out the flowers, I then ran them through my Crimper a couple of times and then split them to get two flowers from the one giving them a soft suedey look and feel. The plant pot is from the new Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlet and it is stamped with Sanded and the leaves are Little Leaves also a Sizzlet.

You can also see the new Scallop Trim Border punch which I've punched out of Night of Navy and the "For You" is from the Great friends stamp set. ribbon is Pretty in Pink Taffeta. The pearls are not froom Stampin' UP! as I am waiting patiently for my order to ship to get my hands on these new embellishments. The card base is Kraft and the thin white card is Confetti White.

Here's a closeup of the woodgrain image and flower pot.

Enjoy!

FATHER'S DAY

It's Father's Day here tomorrow in Australia and I have already made a couple of cards for my hubby and Dad. You saw the Tie/Shirt that I made a couple of weeks ago, well here is another version that I made.

I saw a card at Convention which was made by another demo, it was up on the display board, so I have no idea who she was but this is where I got the idea from. My version is quite different to hers and I am thinking of giving this card to my Dad.

Colours are very similar to the other card as I have a huge stash of Basic Gray card because of a mix up with a customer's order .. hi Sue :)

Card used is Basic Gray, Whisper White and So Saffron. The tie and hanky are from a DSP Patterns range and the stamp used for the pocket is from Occasional Greetings and is stamped in Basic Gray. Oh and I used a texture Plate to give the shirt a woven look.

Now here is the second card.

This card is for Greg.

I have used Soft Suede, River Rock, Whisper White and Riding Hood Red for the cardstock. Ink is Soft Suede, River Rock, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Wild Wasabi. The tree is from Trendy Trees and the word background is from a new set called On a Pedestal .. stay tuned for a card posted on my blog with this set.

You can also see the new Woodgrain Background Stamp which I won at Convention for achieving $20,000 in sales last year. I wasn't sure if I liked it but it turns out that it is quite a useful background stamp ... more samples to follow later with this stamp, and the Happy Father's Day is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. Can you see the brand new Modern Label punch? I love this punch and it co-ordinates perfectly with Word Window, both must haves on anyone's wish list.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

HOW TO USE THE NEW STAMPIN' UP! PUNCHES

Hi Everyone

You will notice in the new catalogue that Stampn' Up! have redesigned their punches. They have also set up a You Tube video on how to use the punches. I thought you might like to go and have a look see! Go on .. click on the picture!

The fabulous Bonnie Thurber does a wonderful job demonstrating the punches. Every year Bonnie attends Convention here in Aus and does wonderul presentations up on stage. I love every minute of them as she is just the funniest person and always has us in stitches.

Now you will notice that part of the demonstration is with a punch we don't have here in Australia but Bonnie does use the new Scallop Trim Border and Corner punches as well.
