HUBBY'S BIRTHDAY CARD

Tomorrow is Greg's 58th birthday ... bit scary when you think about that ... anyway here is a card that I made for him when I was away on retreat.

This card came about from left over circles when I was making Bom Boniere boxes for Paul's wedding. So I got out my Seeing Spots set and whipped up this card. Colours used are Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Whisper White and Basic Black. Punches used were the 1/2", 3/4", 1.1/4" and 1.3/8" punches. I've also used the Jumbo Eyelet, Crop-a-dile and Basic Black 1/4" GrosGrain ribbon. The birthday greeting is from Think Happy Thoughts.

It was a bit time consuming but worth the effort after all it is for my hubby!

LAST WEDDING PHOTOS

Hi Everyone

Finally got a couple of family photos. Here they are:

My little brother Paul (he was MC at the wedding), his wife Sue and Greg and ME .. all sitting waiting in the Chapel for the ceremony to begin! My Mum and Dad are sitting directly behind me. Paul's daughter Kate took all these photos and that's Paul's two sons, Matt and Nick directly behind them.

Proud Parents

Jay, Greg, ME, Paul, Kristii and Chelsea ... should have gotten Jay's partner Natalie in the photo but that slipped our minds. A pretty gorgeous looking family .. even if I do say so myself :)

That's it for wedding photos, hope you've enjoyed them. Next post will be a card ... I promise!

WEDDING PHOTOS

Hi Everyone

Well the wedding was a spectacular success. We only had one hitch ... only four Bridesmaid's bouquets were delivered so they had to redo them and split them into five.

Paul was incredibly nervous and very emotional which made the rest of us emotional.

These are just a few photos that I took and I hope to share some others with you later when I receive them from friends, I was a bit too busy chatting and catching up with everyone so didn't have much time to take photos. Hope you enjoy these few.

THE BIG DAY IS ALMOST HERE

Well the time has gone so fast and it's now only two days till Paul's wedding, we leave tomorrow morning and today is set aside for all the last minute bits and pieces.

I have just finished making the Bom Boniere Boxes and they look really cute. Can't wait to see them all sitting on the tables at the Wedding Breakfast.

Here's a close up

Now I thought you might like to see the card and decorated a white gift bag that I made to put their memento pressie in. I say "memento" because we did give them some cash towards the wedding but we wanted them to have something special to remember the occasion, so we bought them a pair of Waterford crystal champagne glasses and a bottle of Moet.

Here's a close up of the card

I'm feeling so nervous now but hopefully the aromatherapy massage that I've booked for tomorrow arvo will help calm me down a bit. But this morning I've decided that I'm not sure if I'm happy with my shoes, so I'm off to the shops today just to make sure there is nothing nicer out there! If this is how I am feeling, I wonder if the kids are the same ... probably not, it's usually the parents that do all the worrying.

Think of us all on Friday at 2pm.

Till next time ... happy stamping!

21 TODAY

My nephew Nicholas turned 21 about a week ago and we are all getting together tonight to celebrate this milestone in his life.

Yesterday I sat down and created his birthday card. I've kept it as a very simple male orientated card and like the way it turned out. It's very grown up looking I think but then Nick is grown up now too.

Papers are Basic Grey, Ribbon is from Stampin' Up! and the "21" is done on the Cricut machine. 'Today' is printed on the computer and card colours are Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up! and I've used the Nestabilities to created the scalloped square and the Word Window Punch to punch out TODAY..

MY TRI SHUTTER CARD

Well I was away on a stamping retreat last weekend on the beautiful Mt Tamborine about an hour from Brisbane. It was gorgeous ... this is where my son gets married in two weeks time. The weather was a bit unsettled .. but then what's new in south east Queensland at the moment, but we had a fab weekend.

Anyway I made the above card because Francie had seen it on SCS and wanted to make one ... so then of course we all had to make one. Mine is made with the SU Designer Series Papers called Tea Party. I wasn't a fan of the papers but now love them ... well some of them, but I have to say I do love the colours in them.

The stamp sets used were On Your Birthday and Playful Petals ... not a fan of that either until after the weekend when Francie lent us her set :). Ink colours were Certainly Celery and Basic Black and the card was Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Certainly Celery. The scalloped frames were made with the Nestabilities.
