FLOWER POT CARD

Where does the time go? It is a year since my friend Lynne's birthday and once again time for a special card. Now this is a card that I have had made for sometime just waiting to give to her.

Lynney's favourite colour is blue but I have noticed that last year and this year both the cards have been pink ... oh well maybe next time!

Colours used in this card are Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Always Artichoke and Close to Cocoa. Stamp sets were One of a Kind, Spotlight on Christmas ... the leaves were stamped using the poinsettia out of this set and Weathered. Punches used were Scallop Edge and 5-Petal Flower and the ribbon is Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain.  Pearls are from the Pretties Kit.

My apologies for the colour it's a bit washed out ... I'm Photoshop challenged and this is the best I could do! It does look much brighter in reality!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLFRIEND :o)

IT'S BELINDA'S BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday to you Belinda!

It's a little bit late as Belinda's birthday was on Tuesday but today is the day that we are catching up for a birthday outing. As I have said before, I love how girl's birthdays always go for more then just a day, it's so much fun.

There is not a lot of Stampin' Up! product on this card. In fact the only product is the Pink Pirouette card used for the greeting and the Eyelet Border punch for the paper flowers. The majority of the product is from Kaiser Crafts.

I do love the colours and so will Belinda ... like a lot of my friends Belinda is into PINK!

KIWI KISS FLOWER POWER

This week I set myself a challenge of working in a Monochromatic colour scheme. I chose the Kiwi Kiss Designer Series Prints as I love the freshness of this colour particularly with white.  The other challenge I set myself was to make some flowers with the papers. I have seen a few different ones on OP's blogs and these are my versions.

Stamps: Card 1 - Best Yet (a hostess set), Card 2 - Cheers and Wishes and Card 3 - Sincere Salutations
Paper:  Kiwi Kiss DSP, Kiwi Kiss Card and Whisper White Card
Ink:  Kiwi Kiss
Accessories:  Ribbons on Card 1 - Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Card 2 - Whisper White Taffeta and Card 3 - Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain. Punches used were Card 1 - Corner Rounder, Large Square, Small and Large Oval, Card 2 - Eyelet Border and the 1" and 3/4" Circles. Card 3 - Eyelet Border, Wide Oval and the Scallop Oval. There is some faux bling on Card 1, a Filigree Designer Brad on Card 2 and a couple of  faux pearls on Card 3

If you click on the above image you will get a larger much better picture ... hopefully!  Enjoy :)

2010 CALENDAR CLASS

Each year I try to do a Calendar Class. This class I ran towards the end of last year and also did a workshop for Tania in early January. Here's a sample of what the girls made.

Papers used are from Pink Pirouette DSP Prints and the card stock is Basic Grey as is the Taffeta Ribbon. Punches used were Eyelet Border and Spiral and the small flower is from  Boho Blossoms. The daisy is a Sizzix die that I bought at Photo Continental in Brisbane and the Large label is the Stampin' Up! Top Note Die - a gift from a friend. The empty CD cases I bought from a chain store and the Calendar is from Education Experience.

The girls also made a little purse sized Matchbook Calendar. This photo of the front, is not so clear and I apologise in advance.

Butterfly images are from Butterfly Prints and Flight of the Butterfly and the swirly leaf is from Baroque Motifs.. The punch is the new Butterfly Punch. Punched images were attached using Mini Glue Dots. I also punched a Butterfly shape out of Acetate and then folded the wings so that they stood up. Colours are same as above plus Mellow Moss for the leaf effect.

Kristii's Birthday

Last Thursday was Kristii''s (DIL) birthday. I had trouble trying to make something this time because I decided to use the Pink Flamingo paper ... it's not my cup of tea but I made myself work with it and this is what I came up with.

Colours used are Tempting Turquoise, Cameo Coral, Real Red and Whisper White. The image is from Cheers to You and the greeting is from Occasional Greetings ... thanks Venessa :) Moving right along the Ribbon and Flowers are from my stash. The image was stamped on Watercolour Paper with Stazon Black and coloured using inks and Aqua Painters. It's a bit hard to see but I have used Dazzling Diamonds on the glass as well as Crystal Effects
