CONVENTION SWAP 1

The next few posts are going to be very brief as it is 5am and I'm leaving for the airport to head to Canberra for Convention shortly and I haven't got much time.

The above image is the first of my convention swaps. It is a small thank you card and could be used for hostesses. The image is from Upsy Daisy and the For You is from Occasional Greetings. Cardstock colours used are So Saffron and the ribbon is the new 1" Chocolate hCip Grosgrain.

CHEERS TO YOU .... AGAIN

I'm always missing in action these days. Sorry, had a workshop last weekend and Chelsea's 18th birthday party so have been a bit flat strapped.

Stampin' Up! Convention here in Australia is next week so I have also been spending time making swaps. I've made the grand sum of about 60 and would like to make a few more, hopefully I will get this done over the weekend.

In the meantime I have had another play with Cheers to You ... I'm using it on some of my swaps also.

As you know I am a pink girl so had to make a PINK card. Besides Cheers to You, I've used Tart and Tangy .. which compliments Cheers to You, and Polka Dot Background. Ink colours are Regal Rose, Riding Hood Red (on the strawberry) and Basic Black. Card was Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Whisper White. I've also used the Scallop Edge Punch and Regal Rose 5/8" GG Ribbon.

Oooh I so feel like a nice cocktail every time I look at this card .... Strawberry Daiquiri anyone!!

STAMPIN' UP! ANNIVERSARY DATE

Holy Cow!!!! Thanks to another demonstrator talking to me about the anniversary of the date she joined Stampin' Up! I decided to investigate my own anniversary and low and behold on checking through my reports it turns out that TODAY is my Stampin' Up! Birthday.

YAY three years ago today I joined Stampin' Up! I remember it being an agonizing decision at the time and I didn't know if it was right or wrong for me ... pfff don't know why I ever deliberated for so long, turned out that I made the right choice. It's been an amazing journey.

I would have to say that the best thing that's happened to me over the last three years has been the opportunity to make lots of new friends .... fellow demonstrators and fabulous customers! I consider myself very lucky to have all my new friends, all of whom share my passion for stamping. It is a truly rewarding and fun hobby, it also keeps me sane ... lol!

Now to celebrate the occasion I thought it would be nice to give something away .... blog candy!! I've never done this before so here goes. Please leave a comment on this post and I will do a random draw. All comments from now until Friday 17th will be entered into the draw. The winner will receive an assortment of Stampin' Up! goodies .... from my stash.

Thank you to everyone who reads my blog and thank you to all my friends, I really do appreciate your support and friendship.

Happy Stampin' and Happy Easter!
Hugs
Trish

OKAY LAST POST FOR TODAY ... promise!

How cute is this! Have to say that this stamp set was on my wish list and I was thrilled that it was part of the pre-order selection. I'm still waiting for my first order to arrive which will contain some new papers to play with, but in the meantime I've had to make do with some old ones. This paper is from Spring Showers (now retired) and it suited the colours that I wanted to do this card in.

My baby brother turns 51 next Sunday and this card is for him. The colours used are More Mustard, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip. The More Mustard was watercoloured onto the beer steins and then I've filled the image in with Crystal Effects. The ribbon is 5/8" GrosGrain in Very Vanilla. All images are from Cheers to You.

HELLO AGAIN

On a completely different note ... remember my post about the new catalogue going live and me saying about ... There's nothing like a rainy day .... well you won't believe it but that night the weather went crazy and it's been raining ever since ... needless to say I've had to go and buy more chocolate and spend more time on the couch reading my new catalogue .. but that was good as I worked out my first order. I've done that and it's been placed and I'm hoping that all my new goodies will arrive early next week so that I can have a bit of a play.

Stay posted for my next class ... just have to work out when it will be ... first there is Chelsea's 18th birthday and then there is Convention and then a retreat and then Paul's wedding ... it's just all too much !!!

BUSHFIRE APPEAL

Today we were advised of the final amount that Stampin' Up! were able to donate to the Victorian Bushfire appeal. It was a whopping ... $77,889.63! How impressive is that!

I want to say a very big THANK YOU to my customers who participated in this worthwhile cause. Whilst the amount that I collected was not all that huge ... every little bit helps .. The total commission amount from the relevant stamp sales was $61.00.

Isn't amazing how Australians react in times of crisis ... so glad that we have that kind of patriotic spirit.
